If you have decided to buy a pink laptop—whether for yourself, or for someone else as a gift—you have quite a few different options to choose from. And since the technology driving pink laptops came along well before the outer casing (the pink part), you fortunately do not have to sacrifice computer performance to get a laptop that has the right aesthetic and visual style for your preferences. In fact, the companies that make the leading pink laptops are almost virtually the same exact companies that make the top laptops in general, regardless of color.

Two of the top manufacturers for pink laptops are Sony and Dell. These offer multiple different models each. Acer, Samsung, and Toshiba also make pink laptops. One of the leading laptop manufacturers that notably does not make a pink option is Apple. Apple doesn’t give color options at all (your choices are white, silver, and black, and certain computers come in just one color each).

However, if you really want a Macbook (or plan to buy one for the person you are shopping for), this does not mean you cannot incorporate a pink computer experience. While these laptops do not come in pink directly, you can easily buy a pink laptop cover. The cover, also sometimes called a “skin,” slips snugly over the laptop (without covering the display or keys, of course). This provides not only an added layer of protection, but also adds personal style without having to buy a computer that is specifically pink. (This means you could buy a new skin if you decided that later on you wanted a different color.)

Buying a laptop cover brings up an important point: you don’t have to choose your laptop based on its color or appearance. This is true not just for laptops that can be covered, but for any laptop. Because so many different choices are available, the best way to approach buying a pink laptop is to choose first what you want in a computer. Pick your size, dimensions, processor speed, drives, etc. and then find a pink laptop that meets those criteria. It should not be hard to do, and with so many great manufacturers to choose from, choosing should actually be fun.
